Marguerite Ugalde was the daughter of the singer and actress Delphine Ugalde and her husband François Vercollier. She studied with her mother, and she debuted in Étretat in the Seine-Maritime department. On 19 April 1880 she debuted at the Opéra-Comique in Donizetti's "La Fille du régiment". On 10 February 1881 she appeared in the premiere of Offenbach's "Les Contes d'Hoffmann". After a brief time at the Opéra-Comique she switched to operetta. She apperead at the Théâtre des Nouveautés, the Théâtre des Folies-Dramatiques and from 1887 at the Théâtre des Bouffes-Parisiens that was managed by her mother at that time. She appeared at several further theatres. She had a daughter, Jeanne, who became an actress as well. Marguerite died in Paris in 1940. Offenbach had died in 1880 and additions and deletions were made afterwards.
