Leoopoldine Rüther illustrated Lina Loos' book "Buch ohne Titel". She met Lina Loos during the 1930s and she lived with Lina during the nazi era in Austria when Loos largely withdrew from the public eye. After Lina died in 1950, Rüther was adviced by the Kulturamt in Vienna to inherit her home in Wien-Sievering and she gave up her own home at the Grinzinger Allee in order to preserve Lina's belongings for a museum that might be established after her own death. But she had many difficulties with being accepted by the City of Vienna as the formal tenant and the house continued to suffer from a leaking roof. Franz Cscokar, and old friend of Lina, offered her some help.

In 1966 she directed Lina's letters together with Csokor and they were published as "Du silberne Dame Du. Briefe von und an Lina Loos". Rüther died in 1981 and was buried in the same grave as Lina.
