Francesca Lablache was the daughter of the opera singer Lugi Lablache (1794-1858). Her mother was Teresa Pinotti. She was called Cecchina. Both Stendhal and Henri Lehmann admired her. She married the painter François Bouchout. He died in 1842 and in 1843 she married the famous pianist Sigismund Thalberg at St. James Church, Piccadilly, London. They left for Brussel and moved on to Naples, where they gave a concert for the poor in November 1843. This marriage lasted until Thalberg's death in 1871. Francesca died in Naples in 1895 and was buried beside Thalberg.
