Alida Rouffe was the daughter of the mime Louis Rouffe (1849-1885). She appeared in the South of France in music hall, revue, opera and comedy. She frequently performed at the Alcazar in Marseile. At the Opera of Nîmes she appeared as Dame Marthe in Gounod's "Faust". In Marcel Pagnol's "trilogie marseillaise" she played Honorine Cabanis both on the stage and in the films "Marius" (1931), "Fanny" (1932) and "César" (1933). Between 1931 and 1939 she appeared in at least 13 movies. Her last film past was in "La Gardian" by Jean de Marguenat.
