The soprano Dora Keplinger studied in Vienna under Philip Fortén (singing), Robert Fuchs (music theory and composition) and W. Schenner (piano). She debuted in 1900 at the theater an der Wien. In 1901-1902 she performed at the Landestheater in Linz. She returned to the Theater an der Wien and in 1903 she married the conductor and theatrical manager Siegmund Eibenschütz (1856-1922). In 1909 they had a daughter, Maria.

In 1907 she was engaged at the Carltheater and in 1908 she appeared in the movie "Ëin Walzertraum". She was very successful in operettas by Leon Fall (1873-1925). After his death she succeeded him as the manager of the Carltheater until it closed in 1929. She worked as a teacher. In 1942 she still lived in Vienna. In 1946 she gave a masterclass in singing at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. She died in Salzburg in 1949.
