Younger sister of Constanze Weber, who married Wolfgang amadeus Mozart. She was trained as a singer. She supported Mozart on his deathbed and witnessed his death in 1791.

The composer Jakob Haibel left his first wife in 1804 to be with Sophie. After his wife's death he married Sophie on 7 Jan 1807. After his death in 1826 she went to Salzburg where Constanze lived. She died there in 1846. In 1895 her remains were transferred from the St. Sebastiansfriedhof to the Kommunalfriedhof.
