Rosa Le Seur took singing lessons with the song composer Ferdinand Gumbert (1818-1896). She worked as a soubrette before she was engaged at the Viktoriatheater in Berlin in 1866. Engagements in Meiningen, Bremen, Nürnberg, Amsterdam, Stuttgart (1872-1887) and Breslau followed. She married the actor August Junkermann and their sons Hans (1872-1943) and Fritz (1883-1942) became actors as well. She died in 1920 in Berlin and was buried beside her husband at the Kirchhof Jerusalem und Neue Kirche III in that city. Family Husband: Junkermann, August |
