Valérie Lang was the youngest daughter of the politician Jack Lang (b.1939) and Monique Buczynski. She took acting lessons at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique de Paris where Jean-Pierre Vincent was her teacher. From 1992 to 1998 she worked with Stanislav Nordey at the Théâtre des Amandiers in Nanterre. From 1998 and 2001 Nordey and Lang co-directed the Théâtre Gérard-Philipe in Saint-Denis. Privately Nordey was her companion for eighteen years. After their split she worked with the director Christine Letailleur. Vaérie Lang appeared in several movies, including Christophe Honoré's "La Belle Personne" and "Holiday" by Guillaime Nicloux. In 2007 she joined François Bayrou's political party Modem. She was suffering from cancer at the time of her death from a sudden brain tumor in 2013. |
