Ida Bondy was the daughter of Leopold Moritz Bondy (1798-1860) and Pauline Edle von Vernay (1815-1897). Her sister Emma Ritter-Bondy (1838-1894) was a pianist in Scotland. Ida was educated as a concert pianist. She married the composer Jakob Stolz in 1862. Robert Stolz (1880-1975) and Leopold Stolz (1866-1957) were their sons. She was much appreciated as a concert pianist in Graz. She also worked as a teacher at the music school of her husband and in Graz and took care of the commercial aspects.
