Lia Félix was a younger sister of the famous actress Rachel Félix. By coincidence she was asked to play the leading female role in Lamaterine's "Toussaint Louverture" at the Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin on 6 April 1848. This was the beginning of a successful career as a comedian, although she never was a member of the Comédie-Française like her sisters Rachel, Rebecca and Dinah.

She accompanied Rachel to the USA and returned to the theatres in Paris afterwards. Health problems forced her to stop acting for several years, but she returned with great success at the Théâtre de la Gaîté as Jeanne d'Arc in the play by Jules Barbier. Her last appearance took place in 1874 in "La Haine" by Victorien Sardou. She died in 1908 in Paris.
