Rodolfo Morgari was born into a family of painters. He studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin. During the War of Italian Indepencence of 1848 he saw action. In 1858 he was appointed painter and restorer of the royal palaces by king Victor Emanuel II. In 1869 he received the commission to restore the Church of the Visitation in Turin. He also painted several altar pieces for churches in Piedmont. Related persons is uncle/aunt of Morgari, Luigi |
