Helene Oberländer was the daughter of Philipp Oberländer (d.1927) and his wife Karolina Pollitzer (d.1911). She debuted at the Court Opera in Dresden in 1898. In 1902 she was engaged at the Landschaftliche Theater in Linz and in 1903 at the Stadttheater in Graz. From 1904 to 1912 she sang at the Volksoper in Vienna. After that she opened a cinema, she gave frequent concerts and she worked as a singing teacher. She was married to Max Wechsler-Wolmuth.
