Daughter of Prince Konrad zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingfürst and Duchess Franziska von Schönborn-Buchheim. In 1917 she married the Austrian archduke Maximilian (1895-1952). They had two sons.

After the fall of the Austrian monarchy in 1918 she lost her title and she lived as Gräfin von Wernberg at the Starnberger See in Bavaria and in Munich, where she ran an elegant fashion shop. People often called her Erzfanny.
