Yolande Laffon was the daughter of Charlotte Lamy and an unknown father. She was recognized by Maurice Chamoux when he married her mother. In 1917 she married Pierre Brisson, the director of Le Figaro, but on the stage she continued to use the name Laffon.

She appeared on the stage between 1912 and 1954 and acted in movies between 1930 and 1956. In 1936 she appeared "Un grand amour de Beethoven" as well as in "Mayerling". In 1952 she was in "La Putain respectueuse".
