Lizzy Léon was the daughter of the librettist Victor Léon and Ottilie Propper. She married operetta star Hubert Marischka in 1907. They had three children. Elsa (1908-1945) was an actress and Franz (1918-2009) was a director. She died in 1918 of acute appenicitis at the age of 31.
