Ida Krottendorf's first movie was "Kleiner Peter, große Sorgen" (1950). She appeared in many movies and television productions. She married the actor Ernst Stankovski in 1955, but the marriage didn't last long. In 1960 she married Klausjürgen Wussow and their daughter Barbara Wussow as well as their son Alexander Wussow became actors. In 1965 she appeared in "Mutter Courage und ihre Kinder - Eine Chronik aus dem Dreißigjährigen Krieg". Wussow left her in 1986 and the divorce followed in 1992. She died in 1998 in Vienna. There is a memorial stone for her in the Hugo-Wolf-Park in Vienna.
