Clementine Fechner was the daugher of pastor Samuel Traugott Fechner. In 1828 she became the second wife of piano teacher Friedrich Wieck and the stepmother of the future Clara Schumann. She had three children with Wiekc, Clemens, Marie and Cäcilie. During the 1830s she took care of the children while Wieck was away on concert tours with Clara and she took care of his business affairs as well. Her relationship with Clara was rather distant.
