Hélie de Talleyrand-Périgord was the son of Duke Boson de Talleyrand-Périgord (1832-1910) and his wife Jeanne, born Seillière (1839-1905). In 1902 he announced that he would marry sportswoman and pianist Camille du Gast, but the marriage never happened. After she had divorced his cousin Boni de Castellane, he married the rich American heiress Anna Gould, against the wishes of her family.

They lived in the Palais Rose on Avenue Foch in Paris and at the Château du Marais in Le Val-Saint-Germain, Essone. Their son Howard was born in 1909. He shot himself in 1929 after his parents refused him to marry. Their daughter Violette (1915-2003) married Count James de Pourtalès. After she divorced him in 1969 she married Gaston Palewski (1901-1984), who had been her lover for a long time. Tlleyrand-Périgord died in 1937 in Paris.
