The bariton Zenone Bertolasi was best known for his performance in Verdi's opera "Rigoletto". he studied in Trieste under Niccolini and after that Marsiani was his teacher. He appeared in many cities in Italy, butr also in Europe nd in America. He often appeared in Wagner operas.

In the 1877-1878 season in Verona he agreed to replace the bariton in Don Carlos who had fallen ill two hours before the start of the performance. He was also succeshul in Verona in "Faust". He died after a brief illness in Milan in 1885 and he was buried in his native Verona.
