After she set up a studio in London, she still frequently travelled to Paris to assist De Triqueti. In 1847 she first exhibited at the Royal Academy and she continued to do so until her death. Her works "The Chief Mourner" and "Belisarius" were exhibited at the Great Exhibtion in London in 1851. In 1857 she made a bust of Harriet Beecher Stowe that is now at the Harriet Beecher Stowe Centre in Connecticut. De Triqueti introduced her to the Royal Family and Queen Victoria employed her as teacher for Princess Louise. She also created relief profiles of Victoria, Albert and their children for Windsor Castle. In 1869 she gave birth to a son by De Triqueti, the diplomat Paul Harvey (1869-1948). She died in Paris in 1873 of pleurisy and she was buried at Père Lachaise. Related persons made a sculpture of Beecher Stowe, Harriet |
