Marie Lloyd junior was the daughter of the music hall star Marie Lloyd and her husband, the ticket hustler Percy Courtenay. In 1894 her mother married her second husband, the music hall singer Alec Hurley. Young Marie performed with her mother as Little Maudie Courtenay. She played in music halls for many years, appeared on the radio and was in a movie in 1926. In 1907 she had married Harry Aylin and this marriage lasted until his death in 1939. Marie Lloyd junior died in 1967 in Hove and was buried with her mother at Hampstead Cemetery in London. Family • Mother: Lloyd, Marie |
