Petra Moll was educted as a technical draftswoman in Chemnitz from 1937 to 1939. In 1940 she moved to Munich. Around 1955 she started to paint and sell reverse glass paintings. Between 1958 to 1965 she went to France on study trips. From 1963 she painted oil on canvas as well. She was best known for her naive images of Munich and Bavaria. In 1967 she exhibited at the Haus der Kunst in Munich and in 1969 at the Holbein House in Augsburg. She founded a reverse glass painting school in 1971 in Trostberg where she educated 500 students until 1980. She died in Munich in 1989. |
