Daughter of the industrialist Robert Bosch. When she grew up in Stuttgart they were neighbours of Clara Zetkin and Friedrich Zundel. When a labour dispute broke out in 1913 at the Bosch company she and her sister took sides against their father although he was known as far more social responsible than most other industrialists. She studied political science in Tübingen and graduated in 1920. After the second world war she joined the Demokratische Volkspartei and from 1950 to 1952 she was a member of the parliament of Württemberg-Hohenzollern.
