Antonio Bernardi studied music at the Lico in Bologna. After he continued studies at the Conservatory in Paris in 1854 he lived as a composer in Bastia. between 1863 and 1897 his piano pieces were published in Paris. In 1863 he had a daughter, Mathilde, and together they performed a piano piece of the Societe d'audition at the Salle Kriegelstein in Paris on 27 April 1884. He died in Bastia in 1886 and he was buried on Père Lachaise in Paris. Mathilde was buried in the same grave after her death in 1929. |
