Jacqueline Gauthier began her career at the theatre. In 1938 she appeared in "Watteau" by Marcelle Satias at the Raymond-Duncan Theatre. In the same year she played in her first movie "Vacances payées" by Maurice Cammage. Many theatre engagements followed and during the 1940s she appeared in many movies as well. Her last movie part was in "La Terreur des dames" (1956) by Jean Boyer. Her theatre career continued until 1980. On television she was well known for her appearances in "Au théâtre ce soir" between 1968 and 1980. In 1982 she committed suicide. |
