Émilienne Dux was born Fanny Deux. Between 1895 and 1914 she performed at various theatres in Paris in pieces by Shakespeare, Molière and others. She was engaged at the Comédie-Française and became its 358th sociétaire in 1920. Her last part there was in "Les Noces d'argens" in 1928. Between 1912 and 1920 she also appeared in a number of silent movies. In 1895 she had a son with the actor Émile Duard, the singer Paul Colline (1885-1991).
