Claude Beaulieu was a great-granddaughter of the famous singer Pauline Viardot. Marianne Viardot was her grandmother. She married Maurice Brach (b.1928) and on 30 March 1956 she gave birth to her son Jean-Pierre Brach.

Claude was a singer and afterwards a singing teacher. She lived in a small apartment in the Marais in Paris. Among her pupils were Laurent Naouri, Céline Ricci and Lorraine Ouvrieu. She died in 2012 and was buried in the grave of her great-grandparents at the Montmartre cemetery in Paris.
