Isabella Barbieri was a dancer before she became the mistress of the Archbishop of Cologne. In Germany she married the violinist and conductor Gaetano Mattioli and afterwards she lived the life of a well known bourgeois woman in Bologna. In 1809 the sculptor Giovanni Putti became the godfather of her second son. she died in 1817 in Bologna. Family Husband: Mattioli, Gaetano |
