Grace Rasp-Nuri was born on Cyprus but lived most of her life in Germany, most of all in Darmstadt. Towards the end of the Second World War she started writing at the age of 45. Her work is partly autobiographical and she writes about her childhood in which she experienced Turkish, Greek and British culture. She wrote for adults as well as for children. Her husband was library director Dr. Johannes Rasp (1895-1966). She died in 1978 in München but she was buried in Darmstadt. Nowadays her works are out of print.
