Richard Eberstaller married Maria Moll, the daughter of the painter Carl Moll. Eberstaller was the president of the Austrian football assocation ÖFB from its start in 1926. He was a convinced nazi since 1931 and after the nazis came to power in Austria he followed orders from Berlin to discontinue the ÖFB. From 1938 to 1945 he was vice president of the nazi court in Vienna. When the Russians approached Vienna in 1945 he committed suicide together with Carl Moll and Maria. |
