Max Noack started his acting career at the Alten Theater in Leipzig. From 1935 onwards he performed in Frankfurt am Main. He often worked with the director Gustav Rudolf Sellner and starred in "King Lear", "Nathan der Weise" and many other pieces.

During the 1960s he could be seen in several movies and on a few occasions he worked for television. He was married to actress Ellen Daub. His wife died in 1965 and his death occurred six years later in 1971.
