Franz Borsos was an operetta tenor. He was educated by Auer-Weißgerber and he worked at the theatres in Wiener Neustadt, Klagenfurt, Iglau and Reichenberg. In Vienna he performed at the Volksoper and at the Stadttheater. He could often be heard in radio broadcasts by RAVAG.

During the Second World War he performed for the front troops. Afer the war the popularity of operettas decreased and he formed a travelling operetta company that performed for seniors. He was married to the singer Elvira Ullrich (1909-1988).
