Mano Ziffer-Teschenbruck came from Bukowina, now in Romania. He went to Hungary and then to Vienna, where he worked as a painter. At the same time he studied natural science and he worked as a chemist and as an engineer. He held the position of Ministerialrat at the Ministry of Railways. In the early 1920s he worked as a film director for a while. After three years he ended his career in the movies and returned to chemistry. In 1926 he cooperated iwth Professor Ludwig Vanino (1861-1944) on a reproduction method using phosphorus. He was married to the actress Carmen Cartelliieri. Family Wife: Cartellieri, Carmen |
