Daughter of the Austrian dipomat and automobile manufacturer and diplomat Emil Jellinek and his wife Rachel Goggmann Cenrobert. She was called Mercédès. She is best known for having her father name his cars after her, starting with the Mercedes 35 hp in 1901. She lived in Viernna and her two marriages were both scandalous. She was a good musician and had a fine soprano voice, but she was never interested in cars. She died of cancer in 1929, aged only 39. Family Father: Jellinek, Emil |
