Pina Piovani started her career with revue and theatre parts performed in the dialiect of Rome. In those days she worked with Aldo Fabrici and Ettore Petrolini. In 1928 she made her movie debut in "Napule... e niente cchiù". From 1940 onwards she mostly played character parts. She had a part in "Gendarmes et Voleurs" ("Cops and Robbers", 1951) and in "Madre di Adriana" (also known as "La Belle Romaine" and "Women of Rome", 1954) she played the mother of Gina Lollobrigida.

She was married to the actor Giulio Battiferri. She died in 1955 in Rome and her ashes were buried at the Cimitero Monumentale al Verano in Rome.
