Luisa Ferida made her film debut in 1935 in "La Freccia d'oro". She became a popular actress and in 1939 she was in Blasetti's "L'avventura by Salvator Rosa". In the same year she started an affair with the well known actor Osvaldo Valenti after she met him at the set of "Un Avventura di Salvator Rosa". They had a son who died four days after his birth. In 1942 she was named Best Italian Actress for her part in Camillo Mastrocinque's "Fari nella nebbia".

Valenti had good contacts with important fascists and in 1944 they went to Venice where Mussolini was building a new film complex named Cinevillaggio. There they shot "Fatto di cronaca", directed by Piero Ballerini. During the last days of the war they were imprisoned by the partisans. She was accused of collaboration and involvement in the torture of partisans, of which she was officially declared innocent in the 1950s. But she was sentenced without a trial and both she and Valenti were executed a few days later.
