Franz Seitz studied medicin but left without graduating. He tried his luck as a painter before he produced several homeland-movieswWith his father Franz Seitz (1888-1952). He started his own film production company in 1956 in Munich, Franz Seitz Filmproduktion. During the 1960s he mostly produced comedies set in Bavaria and afther that he produced literary movies.
