Joseph von Krempelhuber was the owner of Lorcy & Von Krempelhuber in Munich. It sold tobacco and coffee at the Dienerstrasse in what is now known as the Dallmayr-Haus. Among his employees was Simon Spitzweg, the father of the painter Spitzweg. Krempelhuber also held a position at the National Guard and was the director of an orphanage in Munich.
