Suzanne Bianchetti apeared in many movies between 1919 and 1936. Her debut was in "La femme française pendant la guerre", a propaganda movie by Alexandre Devarennnes. Around that time she married the future screenwriter and actor René Jeanne (1887-1969). She often worked with the director Jacques de Baroncelli. In 1927 she played Marie Antoinette in Abel Gance's "Napoleon". She was able to continue her career after sound movies were introduced. After her early death in 1936 her husband created an award in her memory for promising young actresses. Junie Astor (1912-1967) was the first to receive it in 1937. |
