Daughter of the author Rev. Sydney Smith and Catherine Amelia Pybus. She became the second wife of the physician Henry Holland (later Sir Henry) in 1834. They had two daughters, Caroline Holland (1834-1909) and Gertrude Holland (1840-1898). Saba had inherited the wit of her father and in 1855 she wrote "A Memoir of the Reverend Sydney Smith". She died in 1866 and was buried in the grave of her father at Kensal Green Cemetery, London. Family • Father: Smith, Sydney |
