Daughter of a hotel owner at the South Coast of England. She studied at the Tudor Art Academy and at the Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts. In 1954 she made her first movie, "The Runaway Bus". During the same year she married the photographer Cornel Lucas, but they divorced in 1959.

She mostly played a sexy blonde woman and was sometimes compared to Diana Dors. In 1956 she was in Benny Hill's "Who Done It". In 1959 she had a more serious part in Francesco Rosi's drama "I Magliari" and in 1960 she was in the war movie "La lunga notte del '43". During a holiday in California she died in a car crash, aged only 25.
