Reinhard Kolldehoff debuted in 1936 at the Landestheater Altenburg. He made his first movie, "Der Gasman" in 1941, but after that he was called for military service. From 1948 onwards he was engaged at the Hebbeltheater in Berlin and he made movies for DEFA. In 1955 Gustaf Gründgens engaged him at the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg.
