Mady Rahl was the daughter of the master belt maker Richard Wilhelm Emil Raschke and his wife Anna Meta Raschke-January. Mady took acting lessons with Rudolf Klein-Rogge and she was also trained as a singer and a dancer. She debuted in the theatre in Leipzig in 1935, where she worked with Detlef Sierck. In 1936 she made her movie debut. He appearance in "Truxa" (1937) made her well known to the public. During the nazi era she appeared in 30 films and during her entire career in 90 films. After the War she continued her movie career and she was also engaged at the Kleine Komödie am Max II in Munich. She also appeared on television in Stahlnetz, Tatort and other series. She was married three times and all marriages ended in divorce. Her first husband was the businessman Theodor Reimers, the second was film producer Wilhelm Sperber and the third was the architect Werner Bürkle. Her hobby was painting and her work was shown at several exhibitions. Towards the end of her life she was almost blind and she suffered from dementia. She died in Munich in 2009, aged 94.
