Theatre and television actor Michael Barrington was best known for his role as Governor Venables in the popular series Porridge. He also appeared in The Avengers and as Sir Colin Thackeray in Dr. Who. In 1961 he was in the movie "The Guns of Navarone". Barrington died in 1988 as a result of a heart attack. His ashes were buried in the garden of Golders Green Crematorium in London. |
