Julius Habicht studied architecture and qualified as a Regierungsbaumeister (Assessor). In 1905 he was employed by the Reichsbank and there worked himself up to Reichsbankbaudirektor. At that time the Reichsbank created many new building and he designed many of them, in Berlin-Charlottenburg, Mannheim, Essen and other places. He died in1912, only 38 years old. Philipp Nitze succeeded him at the Reichsbank. His grave monument at the Friedhof an der Schmargendorfer Kirche was designed by Josef Rauch (1868-1921). |
