Constance Helen Bradshaw was raised in Brighton, East Sussex and Bickley, Kent. She studied in London at the Spenlove School of Art. After her studies she lived in Bickley for the rest of her life. Her paintings of landscapes and flowers were exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1924 and 1945. She also exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and in Paris, Stockholm, Canada and New Zealand. Apart from exhibiting at the Society of Women Artists she was its Accting President alongside Laura Knight (1877-1970) from 1937 to 1939. In 1920 she became a member of the Royal Society of British Artists. Her paintings are in the collection of the Salford Museum and Art Gallery. |
