Max Asperger studied at the Art Academy in Weimar from 1883 to 1891. His teachers there included Woldemar Friedrich and Theodor Hagen. From 1890 he worked as a teacher at the Ducal drawing school for five years. In 1895 he accepted a teaching job in Gotha. He is best known for his landscapes. His "Blick auf die Liboriuskapelle in Creuzburg" (c.1900) is at the Thüringer Museum in Eisenach. |
