Antonin Fritsch was a professor at the Charles University who became the director of the National Museum in Prague. He found fossils that were previously classified as dinosaurs, but the first true dinosaur in the Czech Republic was discovered only in 2003. In 1902 he received the Lyell Medal from the Geological Society of London.
