Cecilia Siddons was the youngest daughter of the famous actress Sarah Siddons and he husband, the actor William Siddons. She was sickly and lived with her mother Sarah until Sarah died in 1831. Cecilia was financially well off and in 1833 she married the phrenologist William Combe. They had no children but their marriage was happy. Combe died in 1858 in Edinburgh and after her own death in Nice in 1868 she was buried next to him in Dean Cemetery.
