Enrico Coveri worked as a model and as a stage designer before he founded his fashion house in Florence. As a freelancer, he presented his first collection in 1973 in Milan. In 1978 he moved to Paris where he worked for Pierre Cardin's Espace Cardin. After his return to Italy he started his own company in 1979.

In 1981 cosmetics were added to the fashion collection. In 1987 Coveri received the Grande Mèdaille de Vermail in Paris. When he died of lung cancer in 1990 he was succeeded by his sister Silvana.
